Much of the info below may have nothing to do with it, but if there is a common setting on servers that are failing, it may give us something to go on. We have two PPC G4 XServes running WebDNA version 6.0 on OSX Server. One server, lets call it server A, never crashes. Server B, on the other hand, crashes once every 2 or so days. I wrote a script that checks to see if webdna is running and if not restarts it, but even that craps out and requires a server restart to get back to normal. Here are the specs on the two servers. Server A has about 10 open databases on average at any given time. Server B has about 30 open databases on average at any given time. Like everyone else posting, this issue only started a few months ago....not in relation to any updates or site alterations. I am going to change settings on server B to match server A exactly to see if there is any difference. I'll let everyone know if there is any change. PHP/4.4.4= PHP/5.1.4

WebDNA = Specific settings that differ

Max Found Items: = 300= Max Found Items: 6000
Check for Template mod: 60 = sec= Check for Template mod: 5 sec
Cache Templates ON= Cache Templates OFF

OSX Server Settings = that differ
Firewall
Port 25 open= Port 25 closed
Password server ports = closed= Password server ports open
Port 110 open= Port 110 closed
WINS port open= WINS port closed
NETBIOS port open= NETBIOS port closed
Port 143 open= Port 143 closed
NFS port open= NFS port = closed


Traffic on Server A is = about 100 times the traffic on server B, so I don't think it's related = to traffic.

Server A has about 10 open = databases on average at any given time.

Like everyone else posting, this issue = only started a few months ago....not in relation to any updates or site = alterations.

First, I don't think = neither Tiger nor the apache 2.2
is officially upported by the old = installers...

Not to say that = this would fix your problem.. but
it's always a must to start with supported = hardware
and = software.

Having said = that,  thanks to all for the info and,
along with reinstalling the phone home = server,
we will definitely = look into this issue when
we = are able!
