Applescript Hack

It will take a tab-delimited text database in any form, and through a series of dialogue boxes, convert the database to the webcatalog format. It creates the 'sku' field itself, and reserves 'int5' for holding the database 'number' so multiple databases can be served by WebCatalog. It's also set up so that if you drag multiple files onto its icon, it will combine them all into a single WebCatalog file. It's rough, it's a hack, and it ain't pretty. But it works. I'm using a customized version of it which remembers the field remapping for different database types so I don't have to type it in every time I convert my database. Most of you are probably FoxPro whizzes and don't need this; I'm just giving it out so that if anyone else is in my situation, they can use it. Here's where to get it: http://elroy.nmsu.edu/cc/webcatalog.html (You'll also need the 'Script Tools' scripting addition to make it work; there's a link to a place you can download it from off of this page.) Hope this can help someone... C.C.
