Mountain Lion - WebDNA instructions

Mountain Lion uninstalls java by default. To get WebDNA Server to work, you will need to install Java

If Java is not installed, the command will give you a message telling you that, and it will then request a pop-up window to prompt you to install java. Just follow the instructionsto install Java. REMOTE INSTALL If you are accessing your machine remotely and don't have screen sharing ability, you need to enable screen sharing ability through SSH. Log in to your machine via ssh and type: 'sudo /System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/Resources/kickstart -activate -configure -access -on -clientopts -setvnclegacy -vnclegacy yes -clientopts -setvncpw -vncpw <mypass> -restart -agent -privs -all' ** replace <mypass> with your administration password ** Then download/install your VNC (screen sharing) viewer. Go to: http://www.tightvnc.com/ I use the Java-based download for my Mac. Once that is done, follow the "LOCAL OR SCREEN SHARE INSTALL" instructions above to complete your java installation. Lastly, you can disable your VNC (screen share) with: 'sudo /System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/Resources/kickstart -deactivate -configure -access -off' LOCAL OR SCREEN SHARE INSTALL

Then download/install your VNC (screen sharing) viewer.

Go to:
http://www.tightvnc.com/

I use the Java-based download for my Mac.

Once that is done, follow the "LOCAL OR SCREEN SHARE INSTALL" instructions above to complete your java installation.

Lastly, you can disable your VNC (screen share) with:

'sudo /System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/Resources/kickstart -deactivate -configure -access -off' Donovan Brooke
