We do have auction site code built in webdna.
>From the amount of time i recall that it took - it may be a goodstarting point.
worked out many basic issues with auctioning.
It does 4 types of auctions.
Most of the functions that eBay had at the time it was built.
Have not figured out what to do with it yet.
Built years ago - then company did not get funded.
Could partner with anyone who wants to build it out or
Have considered put it into webDNA corp or community as open source tobuild on.
Would be interested in a trade of a license or something
to open the code.

Perhaps a WebDNA framework should becreated? The shopping site is

We could set up a public github and contribute/fork from there.

WSC already has a source control that is open already. ;-)
Regarding a framework, I think the idea is perhaps putting the cart
before the horse. I think the first place to start is in purposeful
function libraries. For example, a realestate themed, or AJAX themedlib.inc etc.. The goal of a framework is not that much different onlyadding complexity with having to learn a framework API.
I don't know that we need that complexity right now. One of the mostmarketable things with WebDNA solutions is it's ability to affect theend goal quickly (because of it's syntax and tool set). That is the endgoal of a framework anyway. I always want to say to my client with
the most obscure requests...
"Yes", we could do that. Though a
framework may help with some projects, once learned.. I think it canalso hinder the versatility that WebDNA innately has.
Anyway, perhaps a framework is in WebDNA's future, but I don't see
it happening until we have more contributions with function libraries
and open source (or available) code to get the ball rolling.
