texte = Webdna is failing (miserably) to replace the data it is supposed to replace in one of my db's. I'm running some code that's supposed to create 9 new 'simulated' bids per second during a 5-second period every 4 minutes, but instead WebDNA seems to "max out" at 18 bids -- a pathetic 40% success rate. My results are repeatable. I only get 17-18 records modified each time this code runs. The remaining 27-28 bids are simply not written -- which means they are apparently 'lost forever'. There should be 9 records shown here for each of the 5 seconds in this list, but I see only 18 records instead of the expected 45 -- a 60% failure rate: 5915:16:55EQX 6015:16:55EQX 6115:16:55RDR 6215:16:55FHS 6315:16:55XMO 6415:16:56XMO 6515:16:56IMG 6615:16:56FBF 6715:16:56XMO 6815:16:57EGR 6915:16:58LPG 7015:16:58LPG 7115:16:58VWG 7215:16:58EQX 7315:16:58FHS 7415:16:59NVR 7515:16:59SNA 7615:16:59NVR This is way below the expected performance of this code. Never in my life have I seen WebDNA fail so miserably. The next time the code was run 17 of 45 transactions were processed, for a LESS THAN 40% success rate: 11815:20:55LPG 11915:20:56LJU 12015:20:56LJU 12115:20:56EQX 12215:20:56FBF 12315:20:56NVR 12415:20:57FTE 12515:20:57NVR 12615:20:57PJL 12715:20:58IMG 12815:20:58EGR 12915:20:58FHS 13015:20:59IMG 13115:20:59PIC 13215:20:59EGR 13315:20:59EQX 13415:20:59LJU ... and the next time we're back to 18 out of 45 again. 17615:24:55OTL 17715:24:55LJU 17815:24:55VKW 17915:24:55NVR 18015:24:56VWG 18115:24:56EQX 18215:24:56EQX 18315:24:56RDR 18415:24:56WXO 18515:24:58NVR 18615:24:58WZC 18715:24:58VWG 18815:24:58OTL 18915:24:58WZC 19015:24:58IMG 19115:24:59IMG 19215:24:59EGR 19315:24:59VKW So basically I can count on WebDNA to fail to record about 60% of the bids my auction simulator is creating. Naturally this makes me wonder how many real bids will fail to be recorded when I run the real auction? :( Sincerely, Kenneth Grome Associated Messages, from the most recent to the oldest:
