[Listfiles] vs Netfinder

texte = Useage question, not a bug Setting up a download directory and testing Webcatalog vs using latest Netfinder. IE: the fewer .acgi's/plug-ins the less chance of crashes: ) Besides doing a [lookup] based on the file name into a data base can allow me to give a better description of the file then with netfinder. And I really miss my [includes] using netfinder :)The question is if I use the [fullpath] context tag the downloaded file name looks like this *dltest*ec-296.zip on my hard drive. Using a definded full path in html and then using [filename] the downloaded file name on disk looks like this ec-296.zip (no *'s or long file name) Looking at the docs on [listfiles] it reads. You may specify an absolute or relative path to the folder, and the folder name itself may be a WebCatalog [xxx] tag.Looking at this line I could see how I could put this all in a data base and access various folders from a search.The above file is a folder named dltest on my root. And placing the mouse over the link it shows up as ftp://www.panavise.com/:dltest:ec-296.zip. I assume those : get converted to *'s. in some hex or ask-key conversion.If I have to use just the [filename] vs using the [fullpath] so as not to mess up people on win3.1 when they download so be it. But was looking over the [xxx] tags looking for something to strip down to just the file name on disk. Using [filename] gave the same results as using the [fullpath] with or without using [url][/url]. Before I go nuts and create a series of download directories and so forth want to make sure I didn't miss something in the docs.TIAPS: You people using netfinder and very large files like we do (1.8 megs for the one above) think about giving estimated download times [math][size]/whatever[/math] for your 28.8 dial up people. Real nice touch I think. The more I use Webcatalog and get to know it the more I love it!!!!!
