The only other plug-in people I have seen talking about this are the maxium people. Don't know enough about it yet to make a true comment. But if it allows 2 plugins to talk to one another vs the backending of one to another which I experienced as being a page serving speed issue (tried backending the webcatalog2.0 acgi from netcloak for a couple of days about a month ago) then I might be interested. Might is a very very little word in that statement. Because as each day proceeds I find I can do many things just as good or even better in Webcatalog then using other plug-ins. Don't need a Guestbook plug-in anymore, and soon will drop netfinder. Even figured away around droping netcloak and thier tag and using it on a page outside my download area,ie:click here to download this [xxx]k file. Where [xxx] is from a look-up and the data base gets updated from a [listfiles] when I add or change files in a download directory. Granted I have to run a template to update that data. Minor issue. We feel that loading up our server with tons of plugins is asking for trouble. Less to worry about, less Ram issues, less worrying about plug-in conflicts (ie:recent chatter on webstar-talk were someone claimed there was a conflict between flexmail and siteedit-pro). My job is to worry about content not keeping the server running. Never ever once did 1.6 crash my server. And I know 2.0 gold will not either. Wish I could say that about some other stuff I used to use. So do I care..today no..tomarrow if some wild application is created that I haven't dreamed I need yet then maybe. You might want to look at this question differently. In the marketing of your product would it be a feature that could in the future make or break a sale vs your competition if you did or didn't have it. We support PIXO and all your netcloak tags will still function even on .tmpl pages If that is what PIXO does? Or in the near term is it some feature or benefit you could claim that your competition does not have that could close a sale. =============================================== Gary Richter PanaVise Products, Inc. 7540 Colbert Dr. Reno, Nevada 89511 Ph: 702.850.2900 Fx: 702.850.2929 Email: grichter@panavise.com http://www.panavise.com =============================================== Associated Messages, from the most recent to the oldest:
