[WebDNA] Does not understand 'search' command?

I implemented a s=tandard [shownext], going so far as to copy and paste it out of the referenc=e. The results page shows the "Show Items x- y" as expected, but here is the= weird part=E2=80=A6
I am pretty sure WebCatalog needs t=o understand the 'search' command!
I have tried creating a test page and sending a si=mple command=3Dsearch URL with the same results. With both .html and .tpl or= even no extensions. (Another mystery is why I can get WC to parse, or at le=ast throw the error, any random file name as long as it has an extension).=span>
It is having no issue with the [=search] command.
I rebooted the whole server, no cha=nge.
