I tried Debian once but it was more difficult to configure and manage than Ubuntu. In my opinion Ubuntu/Apache is the best solution, especially when installing Webmin for server management, which I do on all my servers. The command line still rules for certain tasks, but for everything else Webmin makes life much easier, especially when you're not employed full-time as a server admin. You ordered a huge amount of resources for something you described as needing 1/10th of that amount in your first post. It looks like you're into some serious overkill. I hope the network you're on is half as good as the server you ordered ... :) Regards, Kenneth Grome WebDNA Solutions http://www.webdnasolutions.com Web Database Systems and Linux Server Administration On 09/22/2016 02:25 AM, dale wrote: > Thanks Chris, > > The VPS I ordered has 6GB ram with 6 cores.
