However,=20 for me, gone are the days where I have mac-mini's, linux boxes, and=20 wires, and routers set up in a spare bedroom :-).. but I do still operate my own servers. I co-locate at a couple places and=20 finally took the step to hypervization almost 10 years ago. There was a=20 steep technical hurdle to get there, but since it was completed, I can=20 spin up as many servers as I want without a cost... well, except for my=20 co-location fees. If anyone needs a VM.. give me a call! ;-) That's the nice thing about open source and net neutrality... people=20 can still fire up a server at their home or home office. If it's fun for=20 them to do, why not? Not sure how this stupid net-neutrality thing will affect things in the=20 future though.
