texte = Hi All,I was hoping someone maybe able to give me some advice or input on a project I'm working on.I have client who wants to set up a personal classified site. Easy enough I though, but the questions he has possed streach my knowledge of WebCatalog 2.I have outlined the process he wants to occur automatically. And I'm not sure if it can all be accomplished using WebCatalog and the emailer program.So this is how it works.Advertiser comes to the site. Advertiser enters the details of his classified advertisement. (Including his real email address.) Data is submitted. Data is added to the database. Advertiser then refreshes the listing of all entries in the database.At this point the refresh of this newly posted ad contains all his publically availably info and, for all intents and purposes, an anonymized email address (i.e. adv000001@oursite.com) in place of his normal address.The result is when others view his advertisement they see the body text and the mailto://adv000001@oursite.com address embedded in the record html.The advertisers anonimity is preserved and the client can directly send mail to this address, once the mail server receives the email it then forwards it onto the original address held in the database.If the Advertiser chooses to respond it's then at his discretion rather than revealing his email address to an unscreened general public via the web site.All of this has to occurr automatically. So each time a new advertisement is place, a sequential email address is generated with a forwarding ability to send email received by this address to the real email address of the advertiser.The next question is, can this be achieved : the advertiser in the advertising entry screen specifies a URL of a gif or jpeg he wished to include in his ad. Once he presses the submit button Webcatalog goes and retrieves the image and generates a html preview of the final ad content including the image. From here the advertiser and either cancel, try again, or submit the advertisement for publication, picture and all.
