texte = It appears the message I posted yesterday has caused some of you to be even more concerned about the new StarNine/PCS relationship than you were before. Both Grant and I have gotten personal messages stating concerns that the list is being abandoned. Your loyalty is commendable, but your fears are misplaced. I obviously did not make myself clear. So, let me see if I can state this without any ambiguity. You are NOT going to be abandoned! The folks at PCS, and Grant specifically, will still be active on the list answering your questions. They will continue to actively monitor the list. It is in everyone's best interest that they continue to do so. We at StarNine will rely on them heavily to answer your questions while we get up to speed. Their participation will most likely decline over time as we become more and more familiar with the software and all the issues involved. However, they will ALWAYS be a resource. We also hope that the members of this talk list will continue their excellent efforts in helping others, especially new users. As you have experienced, and as we have noted from our other talk lists, it is this group effort that helps to make the user experience a positive one. Users don't feel like they are alone, reinventing the wheel to make the software do what they need it to do.This software is new to us. There is a learning curve, but let me assure you that we have very good people in our Support Department. Part of what makes our Support so good is the direct access to the developers. Even so, the active participation of everyone, including everyone from PCS as well as you long time users, is invaluable.I will say it again, so that there is no misunderstanding. Grant, John and Jay WILL CONTINUE THEIR ACTIVE PARTICIPATION ON THIS LIST! They will also continue their development efforts on WebCatalog and WebMerchant. On a final note, I have noticed that there has been no activity on this talk list today. I hope it is not because you feel abandoned. We made some changes to the list servers, but the mailing list appears to be working from this end. I would appreciate it if someone could send a test message to the list so we can verify that it is working. If anyone is having a problem posting to the list please let me know.--ed ========================================================= Ed Lejarza Product Manager email: ed@smithmicro.com StarNine, a Quarterdeck Company http://www.smithmicro.com/ 2550 Ninth Street, Suite 112 Phone: 510-649-4949 Berkeley, CA 94710 USA Fax: 510-548-0393 Associated Messages, from the most recent to the oldest:
