We purposely designed it to be independant of how slowly the credit card authorization happens. If you have 2 or more credit cards being run simultaneously, the amount of time a person has to wait grows to many minutes. Here's the true sequence:1. WebCat: Purchase is pushed2. WebCat: Order goes into orders folder3. WebCat: immediately displays ThankYou.tmpl4. WebMerch: (every 10 seconds) webmerch will check the orders folder5. Macauth clears or does not clear the card6. WebMerch: Thank You *email* is sent to the buyer. WebMerch: Or Sorry page is sent to the buyer. WebMerch: [cart].html file is written to WebDelivery folderYou can re-word the ThankYou.tmpl page to say Your card is being processed. Click
here in a minute to download the products you ordered. And you can put a meta refresh tag on the thankyou page to automatically move forward to the webdelivery page with no user input. Some people also put a [WriteFile] context onto the thankyou.tmpl page that writes a little message into the WebDelivery folder so that visitors can tell what stage the order process is in:-- ThankYou.tmpl --[WriteFile /WebCatalog/WebMerchant/WebDelivery/[cart].html]Your order has not been cleared with the credit card processor yet[/WriteFile]Then when WebMerchant finally gets an authorization from MacAuthorize, it will overwrite that file with its own message telling them where to pick up the product.Grant Hulbert, V.P.
