texte = Grant,I found a way to fix the problem, even though according to my understanding this should NOT be necessary.By putting the following two lines of WebDNA code in front of my original showif/lookup stuff, it seems to force WebCat2 to 'do the right thing' ... which is to display the authenticate box in every situation except when the username and password values match those retrieved in the lookup:[showif [username]=][authenticate something][/showif] [showif [password]=][authenticate something][/showif]It sure seems like these two lines of WebDNA should NOT be necessary unless there's a record in the database with a blank username and password value - which there is not.
