I don't see how converting letters to numbers has anything to do with fonts (which aren't allowed in HTML much anyway).They could be assigned to font size and colors, yet, clients who have changed their preferences wouldn't see it, you could however assign each typed letter of the alphabet to a graphic, letter of the alphabet.
