texte = Hi all.Last week my colleague asked the list if there was a way to convert a set of characters (such as a surname) and put them in graphical format. Responses were as follows : ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------------------- getChars start=1&end=1][SurName][/getChars] to get the first character, [getChars start=2&end=2][SurName][/getChars] to get the second character, [getChars start=3&end=3][SurName][/getChars] to get the third character, ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------------------- 1. Create a graphic for each letter like A.gif a.gif B.gif b.gif and so on till you've got enough. Make sure you've got all text covered like '- or whatever accents you expect. Put all of your graphic files in a directory called fonts or whatever you want. 2. Use the following snippet:[loop start=1&end=[CountChars][surname][/CountChars]] [/loop] If [surname] = Kealoha, this would return: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ----------------------------------------I can not get the getChars or the CountChars to work, it either comes up with an end {/HTMLforms] error or nothing. Does anyone else have any ideas ? Also, where are these commands from, they are not in the WebCatalog Command Reference.ThanksPaul Keen, Technical Director Internet UK Services Ltd, Port Hamble Marina, Hamble, Hampshire, UK, SO31 4QD t: + 44 (0) 1703 452409 x 204 f: + 44 (0) 1703 458409 paulk@inter.net.uk, www.inter.net.uk Associated Messages, from the most recent to the oldest:
