texte = I have a validation page for my new user form. I need to test forinvalid fields, and ask the client to resubmit if any are found.I want to include a specific invalid field header only if an invalidfield has been entered. If all fields are correct, I wish to have a new record entered. Is there a way to test all the fields first before I do what's below, using a showif with multiple conditions? (i.e. SHOIF[firstname]=&[lastname]=] )[SHOWIF [firstname]=] Sorry, the first name is empty
[/SHOWIF][SHOWIF [lastname]=] Sorry, the last name is empty
[/SHOWIF][SHOWIF [company]=] Sorry, the company is empty
[/SHOWIF]Or is there a way I could create a logical variable, initialized withfalse, and have it made true if any of the above showif conditions are met? Then this logical could be within its own Showif context and include thespecific invalid entry file.If I take the path of adding a new record for each user in my userdatabase, and they disconnect instead of choose to make changes, how do Iautomatically delete incomplete records?I would prefer to only add new users that have corrected fields.I am considering setting up a database of new-users-in-progress. All thevalues will be there temporarily until validated. When the user has beenadded to the main database, their temporary record will be deleted. Is this a correct method? Have others used this? If I choose to set up this database of new-users-in-progress, can I see asample of how best to copy fields from an existing db into another db. Thanks.LO
