Hi Nathan,Thanks, that's what I was going to do since I cannot do what I really want to do ... :)The only problem is that if the buyer types his/her email address improperly, someone else might get that buyer's serial numbers instead. But this could happen no matter what way I issue serial numbers, since WebCat doesn't wait for instant cc authorization anyways.Of course, there's not a lot that can be done about the 'bad email address' problem except to have the buyer enter his/her email address *prior* to doing a $purchase command, and then sending an email confirmation to that email address with a special code number in it ... a code number that must be entered into the page that performs the actual $purchase before the $purchase command can be executed. The only problem with this is that it stretches out the online shopping time, because the buyer cannot finish his/her shopping until *after* he/she receives the email message with the special code number in it ... and smoetimes email takes more than a couple of minutes to be delivered ... which makes the buyer's shopping experience a lot more of a hassle, and more time-consuming, than it really has to be.Sincerely, Ken Grome ken@iav.com 808-737-6499 WebDNA Solutions http://webdna.net/ Associated Messages, from the most recent to the oldest:
