Hi Pat,I agree!Plus, I already wrote privately to Jean-Pierre the FIRST TIME he posted all those questions ... but I never got a response, so I guess my answers weren't good enough ... :(... and now, there's another message on the list, more or less demanding the same information that obviously cannot be answered by a simple yes or no.I went ahead and answered Jean-Pierre's questions the first time so Grant wouldn't have to spend his time on this kind of request. After all, he's the main WebCatalog software engineer -- and a great support person too -- but how can WE hope to see additions and improvements when HE is spending all his time answering long lists of questions?Sometimes a person has to draw the line when it comes to this kind of demand for information.Jean-Pierre, I can understand your reasons for wanting to get a whole bunch of answers to questions before spending the money for WebCatalog, but:1 - As Pat pointed out, there's a demo available, and that means you have every reason to try before you buy.2 - $2500 is CHEAP when you look at what WebCat can do compared with the $10,000 and $20,000 packages out there. No, WebCat doesn't help you write your web pages, that's a ridiculous thing for an ecommerce package to do. But it *blazes* when dealing with the stuff it's designed to do, and that's to serve Web databases and offer powerful and flexible eCommerce capabilities. Furthermore ...3 - This talk list is far more valuable than the price of the software! Anyone who buys WebCatalog would be a complete fool NOT to be on this list - it's the one thing that you will really come to love when you get serious about using WebCatalog ... besides the software itself, of course ... :)Sincerely, Ken Grome ken@iav.com 808-737-6499 WebDNA Solutions http://webdna.net/ Associated Messages, from the most recent to the oldest:
