texte = Hi everyone,I am posting a letter I sent to the tech guy at NetDreams, they make a plug-in called Upload for WebSTAR that allows file uploads to a server. I was wondering if anyone here has tried using this plug-in with WebCat in the manner described in the note below. If so, did you come up with a solution? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks. Here it is as was sent:Hi Scott,I am trying to figure out if the Upload plug-in will help me do what I am trying to do. Hopefully you can help. I would like to provide a method for one of my clients to upload files to his website. He knows nothing about html and very little about computers in general, so I have to make this idiot proof. He wants to be able to write a weekly or daily letter and save it from Word as html and then have it posted to the site. Here is how *I* want to do it. I would like to use the Upload plug-in to send this html file to a folder called Uploads. I then want to use an acgi I have called WebCatalog to move this file into another folder called Letters. This is easy, I have it working. Now I want to *Automate* this MOVE so...I want to have the Upload plug-in call WebCatalog by using the command. This url will be my WebCatalog file which is a xxx.tpl file that when called will be processed by WebCat. I can then use the xxx.tpl to do the move without any help from me. I have *Not* been able to get this part of Upload to work yet. Am I wrong in thinking that this will be called as if it was the RESPONSE? The other thing I want to do is have Upload write out a file using the command, but when I tried this it put a carriage return after each variable. This is how I wrote it - Replace with an actual tab and is an actual carriage return: TITLEFILENAME %title%%filename% This way I can create a database for WebCatalog to use to reference the letters. This will be totally cool if I can get it to work.Whatcha Think????_______________________________________________________________ Charles Kline ckline@macsultants.com MacSultants Professional Solutions for Computer SystemsPhone# 609-273-3255 Fax# 609-273-3721 Associated Messages, from the most recent to the oldest:
