Here are a few that come to mind, and I am sorry if I left anybody's WILD WEBCAT solution out of this list.- Chat rooms - Dictionary/spelling look-ups - Calendars - List-Serve-archiving - Guest Books - Graphing Systems - Hyperboards - Online/Electronic Post Cards - Hotel Booking Systems - Sales Contact SystemsAnd I am sure there are many more WILD WEBCAT solutions you, our customers have created that I and or the list members might not be aware of yet! And it is through the WILD WEBCAT things you have dreamed up over the years with WebCatalog, and pushed us with requests for features in the next version of WebCatalog that makes it that much better of an e-commerce solution!Here at Pacific Coast Software we feel it is high time you WILD CAT'ers as we have nick named you to get some recognition for the WILD WEBCAT things you do with our product.Announcing the First WILD WEBCAT contest. We will call it WILD WEBCAT 98.Pacific Coast Software will award to the most WILD WEBCAT non e-commerce template set a free copy of the entire advanced webcatalog training tapes or their cash value, winners choice. These can be template sets mentioned above or new template sets nobody has seen or heard of yet.You must submit your templates to WILDWEBCAT@smithmicro.com. Entries may also be included on our WebDNA examples we distribute from our ftp server:ftp://ftp.smithmicro.com/WebDNA_Examples/along with a link to your templates in action and a brief paragraph to describe the function of your templates. We will assemble a page with all the entries. between now and janurary 4th (in case you wanted something to do over the holiday). When the page is complete you as list members will then have one week to vote for the one that you like best (voting technique to be announced later - anyone want to volunteer...?)But wait there is more! We have commissioned a special logo - no a badge of honor for the winner to display. It is our desire that the winner will proudly display this creative logo on their site proclaiming them the winner of the WILD WEBCAT 98 award! Whomever the winner is we at Pacific Coast Software think it's high time you get some recognition. Promote the fact that you won to your clients, boss or your friends.
