After finding the merchant templates separate, I downloaded them and have had a chance to read the pdf manual. I have the following concept in mind and wish to know if I am off base. It seems to me that I can still use a single store setup as far as webmerchant is concerned taking certain needs into consideration. 1. The thank you email will probably need to be an embedded email in the thankyou.tpl in each stores ordering site. This allow me to have unique emails go out to customers based on each site. 2. Multiple stores doing electronic delivery (the minority anyway) will have to have their pickup folder in a neutral location. Small marketing issue here among me and my clients. 3. In order to handle multiple notifications of order completion, or problem orders to different suppliers, I will have to enact an in-between system that receives all the email, and then routes those emails to multiple locations based on rules I will establish (such as keywords found in the body). 4. All the cool order tracking stuff that is in the new 3.0 package can't really be spread across multiple stores on a single store serial number because sensitive information would then be accessible across multiple vendors...bad. This would be up to us again to integrate a notification database of our own allowing user sign-in based on an owner field within another webcat.db 5..... But essentially, working within the limitations of multiple stores that we are already accustomed to on webmerchant 2.x, we should be able to utilize these templates across an unlimited number of 'stores' within the limits listed above. Did I miss something? I would really like to know if I did before we write the check.thanks Alex And before I get any negative response here, let me just say that our use of multiple stores also has applications for many lower-end customers (budget wise). If I am looking at a system where there is a cost (probably substantial) associated with every store, then my ability to enable many low-end or free storefronts would be limited. Thus my need for clarification and my search for a work-around. >> >>Yes, WebMerchant is sold on a per-store license.
