texte = Hi Group:I am in the early stages of learning and implementing Web Catalog, and and trying to figure out the best way to configure my server and pages. Here is my problem:I run another cgi program on my server called NetCloak. This program does several things that I can easily accomplish now in Web Catalog. For example, I could use NetCloak to display time and date, or to hide certain sections of my html pages, etc. The only thing I currently use NetCloak for is to add a counter on several of my pages. This is an elegant, built-in feature of this cgi.The problem I am trying to solve is that my server is set to process all html files through NetCloak. Now that I realize and am learning the power of WebCatalog, I would rather that all of my HTML files are processed via Web Catalog. This most important benefit of doing this would be that I could include webdna code on my index.html pages. As it is now, I either have to use frames and call an .tmpl file into a frame window, or not have any webdna used on my first page.Question: Am I missing something here? Does WebCatalog have a simple, elegant way of creating page counters? If so, I would ditch NetCloak altogether, and just use WebCatalog. Or, is there a way to call forth this other acgi (netcloak) such that it processes an element on my index.html page without having Netcloak process all html files? If you have an idea for me, could you send it to me directly, as I am only subscribed to the digest, and would like to hear any feedback as soon as possible...(send to tim@eventure.com rather than my list address which is evlist@eventure.com)TIATimothy W.
