texte = We have been asked to create a Dealer Locator system for a client. Sofar there are approx. 6,000 dealers nationwide with many more to come.Has anyone done something similar? It would seem obvious that you couldsimply enter a city/state, but that would eliminate nearby dealers if theywere across a boarder? Zip codes would seem logical if there was some sort of tabel that said wichzip codes were near to each other, although this would not be that usefullif you were dealing with a very wide area zip code.A map engine similar to Yahoo Maps would seem like the most sophisticatedway to compare addresses and then display all records within a 50 mileradius. Are there any software packages that do this, obiviously WebCatwould not be able to do this on its own.If anyone has any suggestions or has done something similar we, wouldappreciate the advice.Thanks,Josh---------------------------------------------------------------------------Joshua Blank Pop Art LLC http://pop-art.comjosh@pop-art.com eCommerce / Web Design / Multimedia7000 SW Hampton St. tel: (503) 968.5957Suite 124 fax: (503) 620.8487Portland, OR 97223-8361
