Question regarding security. Concept: Orders are taken by visitors through SSL encryption (https) If the server that runs the Webserver also has the mailsever & dns on the same machine (lets say Eims 2.x & QuickDNS), then if you deliver _all_ cc# information to an email with an account on the local domain, that email does not get sent across the net. In fact, doesn't it communicate locally only between Emailer & Eims on the same machine? So if this is true, QuickDNS Eims WebCat/Emailer Customer buys and CC # is delivered to 'local' email account (one using a local domain) And the vendor picks up the number through a direct pop connection to that account. Then the only security issue that remains is someone packet sniffing while they connect via pop to get the email. SInce the email never gets bounced around the net from mail server to mail server, isn't this last remaining risk extremely low? Just thinking out loud...sorryalex -- Alexander J.
