I want them in the virtual root/include dir which the webcat docs say is OK. All the other contexts work with the / why not this one. Will anyone acknowledge that either the manual is wrong or the command has a bug..Vince -----Original Message----- From: WebCatalog Talk [mailto:WebDNA-Talk@talk.smithmicro.com]On Behalf Of Kenneth Grome Sent: Friday, November 12, 1999 4:06 PM To: WebCatalog Talk Subject: Re: Using [Include] Context >> Try this, >> [include include/filename.txt] >> this may work, >> anup > >Nope, An include to a file outside the working path has far >less chances to work WITHOUT the file=. The only reason to use file= is when you're passing another parameter in the include tag. If you're NOT passing any other parameters, then file= is not necessary, it will work fine without the file= as long as the path is correct. But the path has to be CORRECT, and the path always starts at the template location, NOT the include file's location. So to make things as simple as possible, just put the include file in the same folder as the template, then use:[include filename]or if you feel the need to use file=, do it like this:[include file=fileName]Kenneth Grome WebDNA Consultant Phone 808-737-6499 http://webdna.net------------------------------------------------------------- Brought to you by CommuniGate Pro - The Buzz Word Compliant Messaging Server.
