And probably you guys are right that I should be using just one options.db as you show below Charles. I never thought of doing it the way you suggest... But it makes sense now that you show me.Just for reference, do you know a way to force webcat to return [founditems] in the EXACT order they appear in a db? (as opposed to seemingly random, or else by sorting on field values?) If you say no, and if I HAD to continue the way I was going, then I would have tried adding a RecordNum field to all those dynamic product options db's (to sort on that).maybe someone could try the code I posted just for fun and say, neato! before I dump all that work... ...or nevermind. :-)Thanks for your time-JohnCharles Kline wrote:> I think there are much easier ways to do this than it appears you are > trying to do. > > This is done with just two databases. > > one contains the products. > > another contains the options. > > so you would have something like: > > == catalog.db == > > skunamedesc > 100a shirtthis is a cool shirt > > == options.db == > > oiduidtypevalue > 1001colortan > 1002colorblue > 1003sizesmall > 1004sizelarge > > The options database is related to the catalog.db and the items are bound > together 'cause they share the same 'sku/oid'. > > Only two dbs to deal with. > > - ck > - ------------------------------------------------------------- Brought to you by CommuniGate Pro - The Buzz Word Compliant Messaging Server.
