texte = Hi all,I have been trying to post this message since last week, but have been unable to get a message to the list until just now.For future reference (unless SMSI fixes it), postings need to be sent to WebDNA-Talk@talk.smithmicro.com, NOT to WebDNA-Talk@smithmicro.com (note the extra talk). All mail sent to the latter address is blackholed, even if you're subscribed to the list. Posting to either address worked up until a few days ago.Anyway...I recently stumbled onto a new release of Webcatalog on the Smith Micro ftp site. It has been there since January 20... Is it just me, or is this information not widely known? I certainly haven't noticed any references to this version on the talk list. With all of the people complaining about unresolved bugs on this list, you would think SMSI would want us to know about new releases.I appreciate that SMSI has fixed some bugs and added features to Webcat, but it would be really nice if someone (anyone?) posted a notice to the talk list when new releases (and betas) become available. Some of us are out here in the trenches working around bugs and dealing with webcat-related crashes every day, so it would be nice to get some kind of notification when possible fixes become available.SMSI needs to update the Change History Appendix at /webcatalog/WebCatReference/WebCatalog%20Change%20History.html in the 3.0.7 package with the new changes. This page on the PCS site is even older:http://www.smithmicro.com/webdnareference/WebCatalog%20Change%20History.htmlIt would also be very nice if you added version numbers next to ALL the dates in this appendix so we can see what version fixes a particular problem without keeping a library of previous webcat plugins dates around (which we already do anyway).A technical change history for beta releases would also be an excellent resource for those of us who keep on the bleeding edge of webcat betas.Thanks,-Dale -- -- Dale LaFountain Vice President of Information Technology, WebMaster Dark Horse Comics, Inc. mailto:dalel@darkhorse.com Phone: 503-652-8815 x324 http://www.darkhorse.com/------------------------------------------------------------- Brought to you by CommuniGate Pro - The Buzz Word Compliant Messaging Server.
