The characters that are giving you trouble are 'HIGH ASCII' as opposed to 'LOW ASCII' you want for the web. In the database that I used this solution in I was exporting articles that had all kinds of High Ascii so I used the Web - ToHTML function in a separate field that would be a calculation like so:article_field='text entered by user'web_article_field=External (Web-ToHTML, article_field)then I would only export the 'web_article_field' with it's 'scrubbed' data.Note: and ampersand (&) is converted to & but your database will have all low asciiThis may not be the exact solution for you, but it may give you a little more perspective on how FMP deals with it's data ---------- >From: John Butler >To: (WebCatalog Talk) >Subject: Re: Filemaker Pro and [convertchars] >Date: Fri, Mar 24, 2000, 4:41 PM >> what about simply zapping gremlins in BBedit? > > Timothy W.
