texte = Buy more RAM before you buy more CPU's. You need to get a very good feel for the size of the database(s) and the rate of growth. Until you have enough RAM that you are never swapping, you will never be able to maximize your usage of CPU's (I/O bound vs CPU bound). Also buy the fastest hard-drive subsystem you can (RAID 5, 10000RPM), for the same reasons.
