Despite the fact that this is both entertaining and sad, it is a downward spiral of negativity. It is not productive and does not leave any promise for future constructive dialogue.Face it buddy, you're digging a big hole that looks like it might be too deep to ever climb out of. You are NOT going to get all the answers to your questions from tech support. There are going to be bugs that never get fixed. And they are certainly never going to fix the bugs you've discovered but won't tell them about. Please, please, please just tell them what the bug is in 4.0. That way, even if they don't fix it, the rest of us will know how to avoid being bitten by it.Ken, I am very appreciative of all the help you've given me and others on this list over the past years and I am just concerned that your present course unduly alienates you.Best Regards, Paul > >We have sent several requests to you asking for specifics, but you > >have ignored them. > >I guess we can talk about ignoring things if you really want to: > >For a full year you have ignored the fileinfo bug that Bob Minor >found in the NT version way back in June 1999 -- right? > >Jay said he would get the outstanding bugs in version 3 fixed several >months ago, but you ignored the fileinfo bug *again*, so the fileinfo >bug still exists in version 3 -- right? > >I usually post tech support replies to this list, I post very few >questions here -- yet you ignore nearly all of my questions even >though you *know* you're the only ones with the answers -- right? > > > >If you really want the bug fixed, you'll have to > >tell us what it is. > >I would rather have the answers to some of my questions first.
