How do I get multiple unique numbers on one template?

texte = [cart] in a loop on a page always gives the same number.How do I get multiple unique numbers without worrying that [cart] will give them in the future? I would rather not add an alpha character if possible and adding numbers to the cart doesn't guarantee that they will be unique in the future.I think this is a big hole in the architecture.
