texte = ok, in my freaky weird little setup, I have a Linux server whose whole job in life is to serve images for real estate.and I have a iMac development server whose primary job in life is to get new data everyday and sort it so webcat can understand it.the new data gets uploaded to me everyday by FTP and has to be to the same machine, (so I can't have data go to dev and images to the image server) but I found the Mac too slow to sort the imagery, so I run rumpus on dev and it saves the data locally and the images to an alias of a mounted drive on the image server. The problems I am having are:1. The alias to the images folder keeps getting changed. instead of pointing to the incoming_images folder, it points at a folder on the Linux box called TheVolumeSettingsFolder (both folders are in the user's root dir)2. My applescript in the dev machine tries to mount the linux HD when it runs, however on first run, the Finder pops up a dialog for the password. It refuses to allow me to enter a saved password. (I've seen this before, on NT, but I have no idea how to make netatalk allow a saved password.)This script is the one that runs everytime webcatalog involces the merge page:tell application Finder mount volume www on server NineWire-www as user name myname with password myassword mount volume nw on server imagine as user name nw with password thepass end tellwww gets mounted fine every time, but nw pops a paswd dialog. Any ideas? I don't know if the folder alias problem is caused by applescript, rumpus, webstar, webcatalog, the finder or Linux.TIA -Aaron------------------------------------------------------------- This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list .
