You do *not* need to reboot... but if you do reboot, and then if the first thing you do is use pages that implement Brice's trick, then it works on NN4.7/Mac. So this is what I call a valid test - ie the username/password were not previously set to values needed to get passed the [authenticate]. At least the way Brice has the code on his server and for me the way I have my code... it works. I just confirmed that it will *not* overwrite the username/password in NN4.7/Mac cache when those slots already have something in them - other than whatever they have in them when one first launches NN. (*Always* works in IE, first time or not.)
