texte = As I recall (it has been a long time since I used an acgi) an acgi can only send/receive data in 24K chunks due to a limitation in the MacOS. There is also a substantial delay in WebSTAR communicating with an acgi... so plug-ins are definitely faster.Before WebSTAR 4.0 was released, http and https requests needed to be handled by separate servers (usually the same machine)... therefore lots of WebSTAR users would use the WebCat acgi (even though they would have rather used the plug-in) so the two servers could use the same WebCat databases. But that is not the case anymore. I was surprised to see the acgi as part of the WebCat 4.x package, but I would have to assume it is only for those that need to run WebCat 4.x on pre-WebSTAR 4.x servers.Cheers.
