texte = I somehow got thrust into a situation where I need to have webcatalogpull information out of a Filemaker Pro database. The Filemakerdatabase is running on a Mac, Webcatalog also on a Mac, but differentmachines. This initially didn't seem like it would be a problem, sinceFilemaker Pro is ODBC compatible. Well, as it turns out, I've onlyfound one ODBC driver for Filemaker that actually seems to work at all,and Webcatalog doesn't seem to be able to communicate with that driver. My question is, has anyone else out there successfully connected thetwo? And if so, how?The specific problem that I have is that when I use an SQL context inWebcatalog that tries to run any sort of search (SELECT statement), myfilemaker pro driver returns this error message: [FileMaker][ODBCFileMaker Pro driver]In SQLExtendedFetch, only SQL_FETCH_NEXT issupported for SQL_SCROLL_FORWARD_ONLY cursors. I have not been ableto get Webcatalog to get the search to use a different fetch direction, and it's seeming like it's just not possible due to how the SQL tagworks. Also, before someone suggests I take an entirely different approach, please keep in mind that I _must_ pull information from an existingfilemaker database. That part is non-negotiable, so changing databaseplatforms is not an option. The client company also only has themacintosh version of Webcatalog. I would really rather avoid having toexport the information first, but I'll use that as a last resort...Thanks,Marc Frechet-------------------------------------------------------------This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list
