It keeps the original formatting.
numero = 38825
interpreted = N
texte = The [input] tags are needed. without them the line breaks won't ever work. If you look in the database there are square boxes where the line breaks are. The [Input] tag changes it back to a hard line break.It's kinda like needing [ConvertChars] when showing the same information on an html page.
