[shownext] is incredibly powerful magic, if you use it correctly (which sadly means ignoring the example in the docs). If you are concerned about using commands, then do [shownext method=post] which will use forms instead. All of the information required to manage repetitive queries for pages of records is what makes up [SearchString], including all of the blank fields you might have included in the search originally. And most particularly, DO NOT INCLUDE command=search IN THE LINK! The docs are WRONG! [searchstring] includes EVERYTHING you need to do the correct search, including the command itself.I think (not tested) this will print the numbers from 1-5 corresponding to the first 5 pages of records (on the first page) and 2-6 on the second page, etc. If you want to have absolutely only 1-5, you will need to be more clever than I can be on the fly.[text]SearchMax=[max][/text][!] grab the number of records/page [/!] [ShowNext position=begin&max=5] [math show=F]PageNo=ceil([start]/[SearchMax])[/math] [PageNo]  [/ShowNext]John-- John Peacock Director of Information Research and Technology Rowman & Littlefield Publishing Group 4720 Boston Way Lanham, MD 20706 301-459-3366 x.5010 fax 301-429-5747------------------------------------------------------------- This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list .
