I'm not saying it is not *installed* on most machines; it is just somewhat rude to make someone load a 25MB app just to view a screen shot that would be 50k as a JPG, and just as visible. It is a matter of using the appropriate tool. I have the RAM, but I don't necessarily _want_ to have acroread remain resident (it doesn't unload itself automatically when called from a browser) when I am not actively using it.
