texte = Having been seriously impacted by the ISAPI flaw in WebDNA 4.5, wherein large form submissions or large file uploads rendered WebCat comatose until the load was completed, we were very curious to prove that this issue was corrected in 6.0. We upgraded to Commerce Edition on our Windows 2000 Server last evening and then ran extensive tests, using our image processing system. We uploaded files of over 1.2 MB and simultaneously accessed other sites that used WebDNA. In the past, while the file uploaded the other sites would be completely unresponsive. With over 40 sites and extensive CMS systems in WebDNA, this problem had led us to conclude that in the second half of 2004 we would have to move to PHP. I a please to report that in our tests, we found that everything worked as advertised and that large loads do not impact other WebDNA functions or sites. We have also noticed that the rendering of pages resulting from complex searches seems to be noticeably faster in 6 than in 4.5. We have no metrics to support this, but this appears to be the case. We are only 10 hours into the upgrade, but I thought users would find these observations useful. Christian F.
