The punter enters:- http://yourdomain/stuff/morestuff the .htaccess file contains:- RewriteEngine On RewriteRule !\.(gif=A6jpg=A6png=A6css)$ = parser.tmpl?requestedurlstring=3D%{REQUEST_URI} =09 and then in 'parser.tmpl' the string 'stuff/morestuff' is contained in = the variable [requestedurlstring] So I can now move on and code the 'parser.tmpl' template to search = databases etc and deliver the correct page.
