The other charges, I believe, are determined by my bank and the processing agent, not Authnet. The exact numbers depend on your particular situation, but basically, they most definitely nickle and dime you per transaction. I just did my taxes, so this data is fresh in my mind: - percentage from each sale in the 2-3% range (I pay 2.8%) - Authnet gateway $25 is typical currently - per transaction, flat wats fee: V & MC .20 (Amex and Disc .15) - per transaction, Address verification: .10 - foreign cards, interchange rate: about 2.5% - you hang onto a charge and don't capture it until a week later: .20 - per check or debit card: around .20 - service charge: 6.50/mo. not sure whose this is, the processor? - ACI missing or invalid (have no idea what this is.. once in a while I have one) .25 All of the second group of fees above amounted to about 2/3 of the percentage I paid. My sales are usually under $50, and now that I've made some changes to my membership structure, many are under $20. If your sales involve bigger amounts, then naturally the per transaction fees are a better deal for you than they are for me. I might add that with Authorize.net you can now do recurring billing. I have signed up for that, it also incurs a monthly charge, $20 I think. Hope this helps.
