texte = Hi all, I've just been through all of this. I found the site = 'www.alistapart.com' to be an incredible resource, it showed me how to = do things that I didn't think could be done using CSS. So far I have done two standards compliant sites:- http://www.enovation.ie - Live http://www3.technofutures.ie - Under development One major problem that I came across was that the ampersand (&) could = not be used as part of the URL if the site was to be XHTML compliant. = To get around this on the site above (the under development one) I had = to make the URLS search engine safe so to speak. I managed to do this using a 'modRewrite' directive in a 'htaccess' = file. This redirects all requests except those for images and css files = to a template called 'parser.tmpl' which splits the requested URL and = then searches databases and includes file based on the results. So the following URL :- = http://www.nala.ie/press/news_list.tmpl?sec=3D3&_eqSKUdatarq=3D2001091013= 3535 becomes :- http://www2.technofutures.ie/press/pressreleases/20010910133535.html I know others have achieved similar results by using a custom 'error.db' = but as I do not host directly I was having problems ensuring that all = requested URLs got passed through my 'parser.tmpl' template.
