If I recall correctly, the headers were added specifically to fix handling with OS/X clients, and I would assume that a non-holiday weekend phonecall would be sufficient to get the patched version. If you didn't pay for 24x7 support, you really shouldn't expect it. I hope that SMSI is currently regression testing a new version which permits site-specific header configuration.
