texte = I use a cookie for the cart value on one of my sites as well. I've included some code at the top of every page on the site that checks for the cookie. If it's not present, I set one with the cart value. If it is present, I do nothing. This way, I don't have to worry about the cart value when something is added to the cart. When an order is completed, I delete the cookie. Many large brand sites require cookies, so I don't feel uncomfortable requiring them. This site also has an 800 number as backup. For customers without cookie support, I display the following on the cart page: We're sorry, but to shop Stoeger Publishing, you need to use a browser that enables cookies. You can place an order with us now over the phone by calling 1-877-GUN-BOOK, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you have any questions about cookies or our privacy policy, click here.
