texte = It doesn't have to do with posting the data. Rather, it has to do with the orderfile. The maximum capacity for a field in the orderfile is 255 characters. The way I get around this limitation is to write the comments to a temporary file (based on the date, time, and customer's cart number), then write that file to my orders database when the time comes using an [include]. I have a trigger that deletes any comments files older than X number of days (if you've got the date and time as part of the file name, it's easy), so that the files don't just keep accumulating.
