texte = Hi all, Since the members of this list are obviously internet savvy, I figured this would be a good place to ask for any suggestions/recommendations in my quest to sell a couple of domains. Off list replies would be best as to not clog up the list with a full conversation on this topic. I have a couple of domains I wish to sell. 1 domain I have had for 13+ years and ran a very active website on it for many years. There are no copyright issues around this. The website is down at this time. The domain is a .net, the company that owns the .com is a large financial institution and for years their employees have used my domain name as if they own it (signing up for mailing lists, their AMEX card statements, even sending emails to themselves) as a result I have been sent tons of emails that contain personal and private information both about their employees as well as their customers. The company has said in the past that they do not consider it to be their problem or issue (according to the 2 attorneys I have spoken with it is their problem, at the time I was not looking to sell the domain so the attorneys were not interested in helping me at that point). The financial institution is in violation of US Securities Regulations as well as the US Federal Privacy Act. I am willing to sell the domain to them for a reasonable (in this case reasonable is a very high figure). I would love to find a US based attorney that has experience in IP/Internet matters to handle this, otherwise I will tackle it on my own. The second domain I have had for 9 years, had a project in mind for it. I originally hosted a site for a non-profit that eventually gave up the domain with an organization name change. There is another organization that has threatened me over the years trying to bully me into giving the domain up - they have even filed complaints with Network Solutions and ICANN - each time their complaint has been rejected as unfounded (which is because their complaint is unfounded). I own the .org - they own the .com They have apparently also harassed the people that own the .net and the .us. I am willing to sell this domain to them, but given their past threats and attacks, I am somewhat leery of dealing with them directly. This domain would sell for at least a few thousand (maybe up to $10,000 - mostly due to what jerks they have been over the years). Any suggestions/recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Dale Associated Messages, from the most recent to the oldest:
