I think the only reason there are specific installers is thatthings can be in different places and use different libraries for the differentbuilds. We are starting development just now (as we only acquired WebDNAa short time ago) and will be looking at the best ways to move forward withthe Linux installers and support. I have a lot of ideas in that area and we have somegood potential resources to really improve on the linux versitality duringdevelopment.> And finally, is WebDNA generic enough across platforms to run the same > code on Windows as it does on Linux/Unix? It works relativelythe same across platforms. There are platform specific contexts and commands..but all the core stuff is very portable. The CSV file is the heart ofWebDNA's internal RAM resident table system.. so that will work fine. Youjust have to make sure the file format is clean before uploading (file formatstructure is in the docs at dev.webdna.us.> > Anyway, any help you guys can give me to point me in the right direction > would be greatly appreciated.> > Sincerely,> JD ReadyRespectfully to Chris's suggestion, I would rather suggest that you actuallyget started now. WebDNA on XP should run just fine as it is listed as supported. However, as I mentioned, this hasn't been my personal platform of choice and I won't be able tohelp much, other than pointing you to the instructions for mapping thesuffixes for Windows. However, there are hundreds of Windows Servers running WebDNA out there,so I am guessing there are people on this list who can help you withinstall issues.Lastly, Chris and I and others will know a lot more in a couple/few monthsabout all this stuff I'm sure ;-) (when we are in the thick of development).Hope that helps!... and hopefully someone else will chime in to help youget up and running quickly.DonovanP.S.
