texte = This is a great product. It needs updating and there is plenty of work happening on that front. The developers have the same priorities as everybody else. Everyone, users included, are sacrificing to make this happen because we all believe in this product. What would be helpful is a couple of things: First, consider that we don't filter anything said in this list. It all goes into the archives for everyone to read. Please consider this when you post. The archive is beginning to contain more suggestions than support. New users might find it more difficult to learn the language. Next, we need revenue just like every other company. If everyone would purchase licenses for all the sites they host, that would help us immediately and immensely. Thirdly, we need everyone to continue to promote WebDNA. We've been spending so much time discussing updates, that we seem to have forgotten that it's still a great product. We all need to sell what we have until what we have gets better. Don't stop selling just because the next version is coming. Focus on its strengths. I know this might be hard for some of you, but do it! Fourth, investment helps more than advice. If you review the recent posts carefully, we all agree on every new version and feature and are only debating semantics. The bottom line is that it is good and it will get even better. But business needs capital to operate and investment is part of that capital. There's never been a better tim to put your money where your mouths are. I know that everyone who purchased a license feels that Smith Micro should have provided updates. Smith Micro was busy working in the cell phone software industry and didn't choose to devote resources to WebDNA. They did, however, agree to sell the product because even they felt that it did the world an injustice to not allow this great product to keep moving forward. Now I'm going to get back to work!
