texte = You cannot get the optimal results even if you summarize because the first record in your optimal group is alpahabetically first in the [T_AREA] field and the second record is not, it's in the middle alphabetically. On the other hand, if all you really need is one record for each unique [IN_AREA] value then just summarize that field. Sincerely, Ken Grome
